MS Linux distribution by 2010?? Mmmmm, i agree, but maybe a couple of years more (2012??).<BR/>I think that is what will happen in a not so far future. MS is not going to let his customers go to another company. If customers are looking for Linux technology, MS will offer it, adding its own staff, of course.<BR/>This will be a very interesting battle between companies, nor operating systems.<BR/>

What scares me the most IS a MS Linux distribution! They have the potential to fragment the community as they have fragmented other communities/technologies. MS has always insisted on developing their own standards when competing ( HTML, Open Doc, Active Dir, Java, etc...) <BR/>I can definitely see them trying something like this in Open Source.

I'm almost sure that patents are like licenses for Linux, I'm probably wrong though. Still I think that Novell is just retarded. Especially since they cannot defend themselves but become Microsoft's "Lapdog". As you can clearly see that Microsoft is intimidated by Linux's abilitys.

Those 'patents' are directed to collecting customers. If they wanted to destroy Linux and if that would be possible with patents, they would do it years ago.<BR/><BR/>Now they are FUDing companies.
